NEIP ENGAGES KCIH FOR BUSINESS SUPPORT PROGRAM / WINDOW 1 – UPPER WEST- 2019

We are proud to be among a few hubs selected by NEIP under the Ministry of Business and Development, to execute the first window (2019) of the presidential business support program. Kumasi City Incubation Hub was engaged to train over 300 entrepreneurs under various sectors; IT, AGRICULTURE, ART & DESIGN, PROCESSING, etc. in the Upper West region, one of the selected regions which benefited from the Business support program. The business support program aimed at providing integrated national support for start-ups and small business through capacity building and funding. There was a five-day capacity building program at SEM – B Lodge (Upper West -WA) for applicants whose goals were to receive funding from the government of Ghana through NEIP. Participants received training in areas such as;

1. How to write a Business Plan,
2. The entrepreneurial development process,
3. Marketing,
4. Pricing,
5. Creation of ideas,
6. Financial management and
7. Book Keeping.

There was a three-day pitching program, which was organized to select participants with innovative ideas leading to job creation opportunities. Panel members for the pitching program were lecturers from the University of Development Studies. 30 members were selected after the pitching and presented to NEIP for funding ranging from 10,000.00 to 100,000.00 Ghana cedis.
